Quranic Arabic Online

Move from reading sounds to understanding words. Build the vocabulary and grammar of the Quran's language, live and one-to-one.

Imagine understanding the Quran directly — catching the meaning of a verse as you recite it, without reaching for a translation. Quranic Arabic makes that possible. This course builds the essential vocabulary and grammar of the classical Arabic in which the Quran was revealed, taught through live, one-to-one lessons that move at your pace.

What makes Quranic Arabic different

You are not learning to order coffee in Cairo — you are learning the specific, high-frequency language of the Quran. A relatively small core of vocabulary and grammar unlocks a very large portion of the text, which is why focused Quranic Arabic study gives you meaningful understanding faster than a general Arabic course.

What you will learn

Learn with the verses in front of you

Our synchronized classroom is ideal for language study. Your teacher highlights each word as they explain its root, form and meaning, with the Arabic, translation and transliteration on the same shared screen. You connect grammar to living text immediately, rather than drilling rules in isolation.

Who it is for

Quranic Arabic suits anyone who can already read Arabic script and wants to understand what they recite — students of Hifz who want meaning behind their memorization, Tafsir students who want to engage the original text, and any believer longing to feel the Quran speak directly. If you cannot yet read the script, start with Noorani Qaida first.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Quranic Arabic the same as modern Arabic?

They share the same roots, but this course focuses on the classical Arabic of the Quran and its most frequent vocabulary and grammar — the fastest path to understanding the text itself rather than everyday conversation.

Do I need to read Arabic before starting?

You should be able to read Arabic script, since we work directly with the verses. If you cannot yet, begin with Noorani Qaida and then move into Quranic Arabic.

How soon will I understand verses on my own?

Because a small core of vocabulary covers a large share of the Quran, many students begin recognising familiar words within weeks and follow simple verses within a few months of consistent study.

Is this course useful alongside Tafsir?

Very much so. Quranic Arabic lets you engage the original wording, while Tafsir explains context and lessons — together they give a deep, well-rounded understanding.

Are lessons one-to-one?

Yes. Every lesson is live and one-to-one, so your teacher tailors the vocabulary and grammar pace to you and answers your questions directly.
